This month we have been out and about sharing or work and bringing it to life with audiences. Our Lady Of The Loom walkabout puppet made her debut and our swift story took flight at the Derbyshire Swift Conservation event. These moments take us out of our workshop space and into the heart of the community, meeting people where they are, and doing what we love most: creating connection. What stays with us isn’t just what we’ve shared, but what’s been sparked in return, those unexpected moments where curiosity catches the imagination and stories start to grow.

Lady Of The Loom
She’s definitely been a labour of love. When we start a project like this, we’re never quite sure what impact it will have, and more often than not, the character only really finds herself once she’s out in front of an audience.
Her two outings with Derbyshire Makes have already started to shape how she moves and connects with people. The reactions have genuinely surprised me. I didn’t expect her to land so strongly with audiences. It’s a real mix too: curiosity, caution, intrigue, wonder, and plenty of smiles as she moves quietly through the space.

Rec Youth Theatre Are At The Lowry
We are super proud of our Senior Rec group. They impressed the NT Connections Mentor and The Connections Officer from The Lowry when they performed at Buxton Community School at the end of last month. We know they are going to have a great experience at the beginning of May when they attend workshops and perform at such a prestigous venue.
