It’s been another busy month delivering workshops in schools, popping up at festivals and events and having many brilliant conversations along the way. As always the best moments are the simplest ones, seeing people smile, and watching creativity develop at it’s own pace. That’s what being a joymonger is all about!

The Studio

This month has marked the start of our weekly Thursday evening sessions with young people, and it’s been such a pleasure. Taking the time to listen to them has helped shape the sessions into something they’re genuinely interested in, with materials they’re excited to explore.

It’s been a joy to watch each person approach the same activity in their own unique way, bringing different ideas, perspectives and creativity to the table. There’s been some great feedback too. “It’s like a place where you belong.” The are enjoying the warm up games at the begining of a session and are enjoying the freedom they feel they have in the space. “There aren’t any rules. You could just freestyle it.”

We see the backs of participants sat at a table and exploring the materials before them.

Post Office Of Possibilities

At the start of the month we opened up Our Post Office Of Possibilities for all the wondeful people in Aldershot. We were part of their celebrations for  the annual Victoria Day and despite the weather (it rained ALOT!) we bought cheer and provoked thought and conversation around the idea of dreams and aspirations.

There is the top half of a quirky looking postbox with coloured labels fluttering in the wind that people have written their hopes and dreams on.
