In recent years, our story has deepened and widened. Becoming a registered charity marked an important step, not because it changed who we are, but because it strengthened our ability to do what we’ve always believed in: making theatre that is open, welcoming and rooted in community.
We’ve delivered ambitious new commissions, led education residencies, created immersive productions and expanded our participatory work across Derbyshire and beyond. From schools and high streets, to parks and theatres, our projects have continued to invite people to make, imagine and share stories together.
Taking on a Youth Theatre has been a particularly joyful chapter. It means the next generation of theatre-makers are not just watching from the audience, but stepping into the creative process and learning skills, building confidence and shaping the stories of tomorrow.
Today, Babbling Vagabonds is still curious. Still collaborative. Still wandering with purpose, and as we look ahead, we remain committed to creating work that brings people together, celebrates place, and keeps imagination alive for everyone who joins the adventure.
