It’s been a chilly start to the year and the snow, ice and frost in Buxton have been a photographer’s dream. While the snow may have kept us indoors at times, it offered a chance to pause, reflect, and dream about the year ahead. Now that the snow has melted, our plans for 2025 are coming into focus. We’re busy shaping project ideas, applying for funding, and looking forward to heartfelt adventures in the months to come. We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news from the end of last year—our charity has been awarded a grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation! This funding will help cover some of the essential costs of running our small organisation, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Mirror, Mirror

We are heading to Spilsby Light Night next month with our new digital art installation with  Illuminos, Mirror, Mirror. After such great reviews from the public and everyone at Junction Arts we know it will be a hit with the community of Spilsby.

Rec Youth Theatre

As you may know we have taken on the running of a local youth theatre. Children up to the age of 13 meet on Saturday mornings and the Senior group (14+) meet on Monday nights. We are really excited about what this relationship with our community will bring. We all know the benefits of drama and the arts, but when you see it first hand and watch how children grow and develop it’s incredibly heartwarming.Did you know we run an adult drama class called Theatre Gym. A chance to flex those creative muscles.once a week on a Thursday night. If you know someone who would like to join just email [email protected] the children are driving the “Emotion Bus”. Each child is given a card with an emotion on it and they have to act that scene being in that emotion. It made for some very funny skits!

Rec Youth Theatre - 4 chairs are set out like seats in a car. They are occupied by 3 boys. Two are in the front. It is a game called the emotion bus and the three boys all have different emotions as they pretend to travel in the car.
